  • How can I adjust the amperage/charging current on the Amprisen Charger?

    1. You can adjust the amperage on the Amprisen Charger using the TFT Screen. The charging levels are displayed by screen, so if you need to decrease from 10 amps to 6 amps, for example, simply keep pressing the button until you reach the 6 amps.

    2. Alternatively, you can set the charging current via the Amprisen app. Click on the "Current" icon to adjust the amperage. You can change the charging current during the charging process in 1-amp increments using the slider.
  • What power input is needed for each charging station?

For the Amprisen Charger with a maximum charging current of 22 kW, you can choose a current setting between 6 A and 32 A. For the Amprisen Charger with a maximum charging current of 11 kW, you can select between 6 A and 16 A. Both versions also allow you to limit the current to a lower level if desired.

To utilize the full 22 kW charging power of the Amprisen Charger, a 32-amp fuse is required. For the 11 kW variant, a 16-amp fuse is necessary.

Note: Higher amperage settings result in faster charging for your vehicle. However, charging at lower amperages is more sustainable and can positively impact battery longevity and power grid stability. The actual charging power may be limited by the vehicle, which means it could be lower than the maximum capability of the charger.
  • What connection cable (wire cross-section) should I use with the Amprisen Charger?

The miniature circuit breaker is a fuse that disconnects the circuit in case of an overload, protecting the line from damage due to excessive current heating. For a maximum current of 32 A, we recommend the following cable cross-sections:

    - 6 mm² for surface-mounted cables (not installed in a wall)
    - 6-10 mm² for cables in installation pipes
    - 10 mm² for cables in thermally insulated walls

For a maximum current of 16 A, we recommend the following cable cross-sections:

    - 2.5 mm² for surface-mounted cables
    - 4 mm² for cables in installation pipes
    - 10 mm² for cables in thermally insulated walls

However, the final decision should be made by an electrician based on the local conditions. The installer must also consider the simultaneity factor when calculating the cable cross-section. The simultaneity factor should be set to 1, meaning the electrician must assume that the cable is always fully loaded.
  • Is weatherproofing required?

Weather protection is beneficial, although not mandatory when using the amprisen Charger. The amprisen Charger  are IP65 rated, providing protection against dust and water, and can operate in temperatures up to +55°C. While it's advisable to shield the charger from direct sunlight, built-in safety mechanisms automatically reduce power output to prevent overheating as temperatures rise. Please note, for safety reasons, the amprisen Charger should only be vertically mounted to avoid water ingress into the type 2 socket.
  • Do we need to make any structural changes to install the charging station?

No, you only need to screw on the wall bracket.
  • Is it essential to provide weather protection?

While weather protection is beneficial, it is not mandatory when using the amprisen Charger. The amprisen Chargers are equipped with IP65 protection against dust and water, and can operate in temperatures of up to +50°C. It's advisable to shield the charger from direct sunlight. However, with additional safety features, the charger's output power will automatically decrease if the temperature rises to prevent overheating. Please note that only vertical placement of the amprisen Charger is acceptable to avoid the risk of water entering the type 2 socket.
  • Do any structural alterations need to be made for installing the charging station?

No, only the wall bracket needs to be securely attached using screws.
  • Do I need an electrician to install the amprisen Charger?

Professional installation by an electrician is necessary as the charger must be connected to the building's electrical system.
