FAQ

How can I update my software?

Software updates require the charger to be connected to the internet. Once connected, available updates can be viewed in the app or handled through the project backend depending on the charger configuration.

How should I clean my charger?

Clean the charger by wiping it with a cloth dampened with water. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner and do not expose the charger to running water, because this may damage the enclosure, connectors, seals, or display.

What should I do if I suspect a defect with my Amprisen Charger?

Please contact Amprisen customer service before disassembling the charger. For safety reasons, a suspected defective fixed charger should only be checked or removed by a qualified electrician after the service case is reviewed.

What if I require technical support for the Amprisen Charger?

If you cannot solve an issue through the user manual, FAQ, or troubleshooting guide, contact Amprisen by email, telephone, WhatsApp, or the website form. Please include the model, rated power, connector type, installation country, fault description, photos, and app/backend status.

Are device inspections necessary?

The charger is designed for low routine maintenance, but local electrical safety rules may require periodic inspection. Commercial and public projects should follow the local installer, utility, and site-owner maintenance requirements.

How do I adjust the charging power on the Amprisen Charger?

Charging power can be adjusted on supported models through the charger screen/button before charging starts, or through the app/backend on smart models. The available current range depends on the model, such as 6-16A or 6-32A.

How can I export charging data from my Amprisen Charger?

On smart charger models, charging statistics can be viewed in the app or backend platform. Export options depend on the software configuration, metering function, and whether the project uses OCPP backend management.

Is lowering the charging capacity effective in extending EV battery life?

For AC charging, moderate charging current is generally gentle on the vehicle battery. Lower current can also reduce load on site wiring and the power grid. Actual battery impact depends on vehicle chemistry, battery size, temperature, and charging frequency.

Where can I view the charged kilowatt-hours (kWh)?

Depending on the model, charged energy can be viewed on the charger screen, in the app, or in the OCPP backend. For billing or commercial projects, confirm the meter type, local metering requirements, and backend reporting needs before ordering.

How can I control the Amprisen Charger using multiple smartphones?

The first user can act as the administrator and invite or approve additional users. For commercial projects, access control can also be handled through RFID cards or an OCPP backend depending on the charger model and software configuration.

Does my charger have to be connected to WiFi to use the app?

Basic local control may work through Bluetooth on supported models, while remote control, tariff features, firmware updates, and backend operation require internet access. Depending on the product, this can be WiFi, Ethernet, or 4G.

Can Amprisen provide 4G + OCPP portable EV chargers?

Yes. Amprisen can support portable EV charger projects that require OCPP connectivity, 4G communication, app control, and fleet or distributor deployment. Buyers should confirm target country, SIM/network needs, backend platform, connector type, and power rating.

Can I operate the Amprisen Charger without using the mobile app?

Yes. Basic functions such as plug-and-play charging, start/stop, or current adjustment can be available without the app depending on the model. Advanced functions such as remote control, statistics, tariff scheduling, user management, or OCPP operation require smart connectivity.

How do I stop charging?

Charging can stop automatically when the vehicle battery is full or when the configured schedule/event is reached. It can also be stopped through the app/backend, RFID authorization, charger control, or by unplugging according to the vehicle and charger instructions.

Is it possible to modify the default setting for initiating charging?

Yes. Supported chargers can be configured for plug-and-play, app authorization, RFID authorization, or backend authorization. The correct setting depends on whether the project is residential, workplace, fleet, public, or semi-public charging.

How do I start charging?

After installation by a qualified electrician, plug the charger into the vehicle and follow the configured authorization method. The charger can start automatically in plug-and-play mode, or require RFID, app, or backend authorization.

Can I use the Amprisen Charger with Type 1 or Type 2 vehicles?

Amprisen offers chargers and cables for different connector standards, including Type 1 and Type 2 requirements. Compatibility depends on the vehicle inlet, local charging standard, cable/socket configuration, and project market.

What power input is needed for each charging station?

A 22kW AC charger normally requires a three-phase 32A supply, while an 11kW version normally requires three-phase 16A. A 7kW single-phase charger commonly uses 32A. Final electrical design must follow local codes and be confirmed by a qualified electrician.

What connection cable or wire cross-section should I use?

Cable cross-section depends on rated current, cable length, installation method, ambient temperature, derating, and local electrical standards. A qualified electrician must calculate and select the correct cable and protection devices for the site.

What should I include when requesting a datasheet or quotation?

Please include product category, rated power, connector standard, socket or cable preference, quantity, country, certification requirements, OCPP/backend needs, 4G/WiFi/Ethernet requirements, installation scenario, and branding/OEM needs.

Questions Buyers Should Confirm Before Ordering

Product fit

Confirm rated power, phase, connector standard, cable or socket version, indoor/outdoor use, IP rating, metering requirements, and display/interface preference.

Smart charging

For OCPP, 4G, WiFi, Ethernet, RFID, app, billing, and backend projects, confirm the required protocol, platform, user flow, and local communication network before mass ordering.

Market compliance

Certification, plug standards, grid connection rules, and installation requirements differ by market. Share the destination country early so Amprisen can recommend a suitable configuration.
